**The giveaway has ended. Be sure to subscribe to the blog to receive updates about upcoming contests & giveaways!**

Hi friends! I am so excited about this post … as some of you know, I just launched this beautiful, new blog last week! After using the old blog for over a year, it was definitely time for a facelift!

So, with the new site launched, I’d love to learn more about who’s visiting each day, so we talked with different companies to make a beautiful gift, including a jewelry store that has the Best collection of aquamarine  on Rose Gold, White Gold or Yellow Gold Rings and the aquamarine wedding ring. These can be set on solid Sterling Silver rings.
Furthermore, I am really invested in making this a spot for conversation. So let’s get talking!!

In celebration of the new site, I am doing a giveaway on the blog. I wanted to highlight a few of my favorite ‘makers’ in the Portland area, so here it goes!!

Oh, how I LOVE Little Bright Studio!! Amy Nieto is the creative force behind this beautiful collection of handmade jewelry, bags, and paper goods. I’ll be giving away one of her fabulous beaded necklaces!!

In our house, we are obsessed with Snappy Rockfish Soap made by our friend Brittany! It’s AMAZING!! I’ll be giving away a double pack of Brittany’s favorite peppy scents: Peppermint Rosemary and Lemongrass.

I first saw Brooke’s work while on vacation in Portland a couple of years ago. When I met her earlier this year, I was thrilled that she is just as charming, in person, as her work is. I absolutely LOVE this new mug in her shop, The Little Canoe! Who doesn’t love narwhals … PS, if you live in Chicago, Portland, San Fran, or Seattle, you’ll have your choice of this mug, or one of her city mugs.

Lastly, there’s another item from the Little Bright Studio shop … A 2013 constellation calendar. The calendar is screen printed with silver, metallic ink on beautiful, recycled card stock.

I subscribed 🙂 Where do I even begin?! This year I learned how important branding is and what I really want our business to look like for many years to come! In 2013, I am most excited to start fresh with a new brand, new clients, new equipment and new IDEAS!

  2. You are so rad!! You two are so talented … and genuine. I am SO excited to see what 2013 brings your way!!

  3. What I learned most about myself this year is that I am the only person stopping me (and my business) from success. The harder I work and push for it, the easier success will come. In 2013 I’m most looking forward to rocking an amazing new brand, and to really define what my business represents. 🙂

Subscribed. Whew!!…I can’t believe this year is almost over! 2012…I’ve lived, and made the most out of every day. This year I’ve struggled a lot with what I want to do with my life but I’ve learned a lot about myself over this year and have finally come to a conclusion: Do what is going to make you happy. And that leads into what I’m looking forward to most in 2013. For 2013 I’m looking forward to: number one getting married to my best friend and two leaping head first, guns blazing into photography. 2013…BRING IT ON!!! 🙂

  5. Melissa Gay says:

Subscribed! What cute items… I can’t wait to go check out each business! in 2012 I have seen my boy go from a tiny baby into a full fledged little person and it has been awesome. I am hoping 2013 will bring the courage to become a big girl photographer and make a real business out of it 🙂

(ps. I love the blog, but the gray wording is somewhat hard to read)

  6. Emilia Jane says:

Ah! Your new blog is so beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. Amy says:

Subscribed! And holy cow, what a great question about 2012 and 2013. I learned so much about myself this year–through an incredible relationship that taught me about how to give and receive graciously, how to be open and honest with those I love, and how to express what I need. And then through the sudden end of that relationship, realizing that I have community I can rely on, that I’m okay by myself, and that I deserve someone who wants to truly be with me. For 2013, I’m looking forward to lots of awesome work experiences….and maybe somewhere along the way I’ll find someone special. 🙂

  8. Jodi Krautkramer says:

I subscribed!! You are truly amazing!

  9. Jodi Krautkramer says:

So I forgot to continue my message…. Honestly I am looking forward to growing my business in general.. My first step, my image, and I am so happy that you will be helping with this!

  10. Ali Murray says:

Hi! I am so excited that 2013 is going to be my first full year as a full time photographer. I am looking forward to growing my new brand Portraits by Ali and continue to work with amazing senior & wedding clients. I also hope to work on more personal creative project and network with my industry peers. And to spend more time brunching & talking about our dreams Ravyn, Love you!

  11. stephanie says:

First of all, I don’t know why I wasn’t subscribed to your site before- I stalk your blog anyway, I might as well it easier on myself! 😉 Oh gosh, 2012 was a great year for my business- I learned that branding myself and my business are so incredibly important! My brand should represent who I am and who I want to work with! Thank you SO so much for helping me create my new brand- I seriously cannot wait to share with everyone! I’m BEYOND excited!!

  12. Tyesha says:

I learned that it is wonderful to have 4 months off and as much as you love your work it is so healthy and great for your spirit to take time off. I’m going to take sabbaticals very seriously from now on! (I shouldn’t have to have a baby to do it!)

  13. DITA says:

    LOVE your work…seriously.
I learned that I cannot run my business the way I ran my photography hobby and that 2013 needs to bring positive change in how I approach all things in my work.

    Thanks for the inspiration!

  14. Jen Sexton says:

Absolutely love the look and feel of your new site! It’s so fresh and easy on the eyes. 😉

  15. Melanie says:

HI!!!!! No subscribing, hehe! I learned most about my husbands business, that patiece for the community is a must! I look forward to my son turning ONE in 2013 and hopefully buying a home 🙂

  16. Melanie says:

    Opps, meant NOW subscribing, haha

  17. Alicia White says:

This year was a blast …. even though I’m still learning this, I think this year was huge in terms of figuring out how to balance life & business. My style as an artist has grew – I learned awesome new techniques both in camera and editing. And just becoming overall more confident in both a photographer and business owner. I cannot wait for what 2013 has to hold (including ROCKING OUT my new branding) Love your new blog! xoxo

  18. Emily says:

Oh goodness, Ravyn! I learned SO much this year. 2012 was the first full wedding season for Emily Weis Photography and WOW. I couldn’t have asked to find a job I love so, so much. I’ve learned many, many things about owning my own business–I was an education major! Business? Finances? Taxes? Yikes. But, more importantly, I was able to find my true style, drive my passion, and THANKS TO YOU, launch a whole new, perfectly me, brand. I love calling this my job, my art, & my joy. Can’t wait to see the transformation of others’ brands that you do in 2013. You were such a joy to work with!

  19. Mellary says:

I’m glad I found my way over here 🙂 I agree these are great questions. I think 2012, or at least recently has taught me how to persevere as well as the importance of having faith! I’m excited for 2013 for new opportunities and getting into water colour more.

  20. Laura Brady says:

I’ve learned (like most people – THE HARD WAY) that I deserve to be happy. No job or person is worth being miserable over. In September 2012, I quit my job, which has naturally brought new challenges, but I’m so much more sane! It’s been refreshing to focus on ME!

I always knew I was a lucky girl but I’ve also learned that I am BEYOND blessed! I thank God every day for blessing me with such a supportive family and life partner.

I look forward to what 2013 has in store for me… and for the Stadicks! 🙂
